Hello there! My name is Raeanna. I'm a Wisconsin native and graduate of UW-La Crosse where I majored in Organizational and Professional Communication Studies and Women and Gender Studies. I'm also a retired pageant girl after years of competing in the Miss America Organization. It was an incredible experience during which I had the honor of serving as Miss Wisconsin 2011 and 2014, and finishing 4th runner up to Miss Wisconsin USA 2016.
Throughout my years competing I developed “Tyler’s Legacy: The Impact of Substance Abuse on the Family”. The program is in honor of my older brother who struggled with a drug addiction and died by suicide in 2005. I am a huge advocate for addiction and suicide prevention and love speaking to various audiences and partnering with like-minded organizations and initiatives.
My favorite part about sharing Tyler's Legacy is the conversations that grow from that talk. I have had countless opportunities to speak with audience members after my presentations, through which I quickly learned the value of vulnerability. Opening up your heart and sharing your deepest thoughts can be very impactful in the life of another human being.
I believe that being authentic and opening ourselves up can lead to reducing stigma, empowering people to seek help if they need it, and building a sense of connectivity for those experiencing isolation. In essence, being vulnerable has the power to not only change lives, but can also SAVE lives. How amazing does that sound?
I'd love to guide you on your journey to making your own impact and reduce stigma the same way I have through Tyler's Legacy . Scroll down for more information on ways we can work together to help you achieve your goals.
